About Kieffer Nature Stock Kieffer Nature Stock is located at the foot of the
Rocky Mountains in Boulder, Colorado. Please, feel free to contact our
knowledgeable staff from 8 AM to 5:30 PM Mountain Standard Time. KNS was
started in 1986, primarily to market John Kieffer’s large-format (4 x 5 inch
film) landscape photography. It has grown to represent some of the best
outdoor photographers throughout Colorado & the West. Kieffer Nature Stock offers both right-managed and
royalty-free imagery and images can be supplied either as film or a digital
file (scan). Not every image in our extensive files is online. Contact
us, if you can’t find what you need. We can quickly put together a
special selection.

Digital Files and Film
Film or Digital Fulfillment
All images can be supplied as a digital file and many can be supplied as film. Smaller digital files are sent via an email attachment.
Larger files are downloaded to our web site. Film is shipped by a secure courier like Federal Express and film is always returned to Kieffer Nature Stock.
The film user pays round-trip shipping fees.
Large-Format (4 x 5 inch) Film
Much of the landscape imagery was photographed using a large-format view camera and 4 x 5 inch color transparency film.
This film is more than 15 times larger than a 35mm slide and affords unsurpassed quality, especially for larger reproductions.
Photos shot with large-format film are noted with caption and keyword information.

This is a legal agreement between you, the purchaser of the CD-ROM, and Kieffer Nature Stock. By downloading an image from the CD-ROM, titled “The Colorado Collection,” you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement. The usages granted and the restrictions and limitations listed below apply to the employee, as well as the employer. Should you, the employee, stop working for your employer and the purchaser of the CD-ROM, only your employer retains the usage rights to the photography. Kieffer Nature Stock grants you and your employer, if you are using the CD-ROM on behalf of your employer, a non-exclusive right to use any image found on the CD-ROM titled “The Colorado Collection.”. No image or software found on the CD-ROM can be sublicensed to any individual or company in any way. No photograph or software can be shared with others by making a photographic library, group image storage system or any online distribution system. There is no transfer of copyright. All photography and software is copyrighted John Kieffer 2001. High-resolution photographs can be used world-wide and for an unlimited time. Photographs are for personal and commercial use. Commercial uses include advertising, marketing, brochures, packaging, publications, web sites. High-resolution photographs cannot be used on greeting cards and post cards, where the greeting or post card is part of a greeting or post card product line. The greeting and post cards are then sold to consumers. However, the photographs can be used on greeting and post card sized advertisements, where the greeting or post card is used to advertise or market a company, product, service or event. High-resolution photographs cannot be sublicensed or made available for use or distribution in any way or form. You may use a high-resolution photograph on a web site. However, the photograph cannot be made available for downloading. You might also supply your client with a high-resolution file, as part of producing a printed advertisement. However, the client is not permitted to use the high-resolution photograph in any way, except as intended by the purchaser of the CD-ROM. Finally, a photograph cannot be used in pornographic material or in a defamatory, libelous or unlawful way. Low-resolution photographs found on the CD-ROM and at the Kieffer Nature Stock web site, can only be used in test layouts or comps. The low-resolution photographs cannot be used in any kind of material that is distributed within a company, outside the company or to the public. Low-resolution photographs found on the CD-ROM and the Kieffer Nature Stock web site cannot be used in such materials as brochures, advertisements, publications, web sites, magazines or any final material. The software cannot be use in any way, except to view the photography and navigate the CD-ROM catalog and web site. model-released people are in greatest demand and most valuable.
